For over 10 years, Beth has been practicing, training, and honing her skills as a neurologic physical therapist.  She graduated from The University of Tennessee-Martin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in 2005. From there, she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2008. She has experience in a variety of practice settings including acute care, outpatient wound care, inpatient rehab, and private home care. Her primary area of practice has been in the inpatient rehabilitation setting with an emphasis on acquired brain injury rehabilitation.  She is currently a staff physical therapist at Shepherd Center in Atlanta GA on the Acquired Brain Injury Unit.

Beth first trained with Neuro-IFRAH in 2012, but then met Kay at her first NDT course in 2016. That led to the pursuit of NDT certification in 2018 under the guidance of both Kay and Jason.  Additionally, Beth is an APTA credentialed clinical instructor, a Certified Brain Injury Specialist, and a Neurologic Clinical Specialist.

Beth was hired in 2020 as an adjunct instructor at South College-Knoxville in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Beth is excited to partner with Kay and Jason through NeuroPro Education to further her opportunities in teaching and instruction. From her first course with Kay in 2016, Beth has been intrigued by her pedagogy and unique style of learning and skill development.  Beth’s passion for this type of educational experience and skill enrichment was only heightened during pursuit of NDTA Certification with both Kay and Jason. She is eager to continue her professional relationship with them by joining the NeuroPro Education faculty.

When Beth isn’t working, you can find her hiking, biking, and camping in the mountains of north Georgia or watching one of Atlanta’s professional sports teams play.
