NeuroPro Standards™ Session 1:

Examination and Diagnosis Based on Science and Salience

Quality Continuing Education for Neurorehabilitation Professionals

Course
Description

Examination and diagnosis of the patient is the focus of Standard One. A targeted intervention leading to a patient specific outcome is not possible without accurate diagnosis. Salience, one of many neural plasticity principles explored in the Standards course, will form the basis for examining the Human Movement System. The process of differential diagnosis will push the participant to recall and enhance their knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology. The NeuroPro transdisciplinary approach to a whole body examination will lead to a set of diagnoses. Only then can a meaningful course of therapy occur.

Ideal for:

  • Physical Therapists
  • Occupational Therapists

Upon Completion

You’ll know how to:

Expand content knowledge in anatomy and kinesiology

Learn the NeuroPro Model of Examination

Utilize the NeuroPro Core Set of Movements to identify key components of movement embedded in salient activities

Develop a differential diagnosis based on patient signs and symptoms

Perform salient diagnostic tests to develop a diagnosis or a set of diagnoses
