Design and Initiation of Treatment

Course Description
With diagnoses determined by using the NeuroPro Examination method, attention is turned to effective interventions. Movement diagnoses must be worked through by addressing them directly, rather than working around them. The NeuroPro Model of Intervention is designed to do that using a unique triangulated approach to reach the salient outcome chosen by the patient. Knowledge expansion and critical thinking are integral to using the model instead of relying on routine, imitation, or substitution.
Ideal for:
- Physical Therapists
- Occupational Therapists
Upon Completion
You’ll know how to:
Understand and use the NeuroPro Model of Intervention to design, initiate and modify treatments
Recognize and understand each phase of the gait cycle for use as the gold standard in gait analysis and intervention
Develop deeper knowledge about the connections between the shoulder, elbow, and hand and use that knowledge to develop support responses in the arm
Match movement diagnoses with appropriate intervention strategies
Manipulate the features of the Intervention Model to effectively reduce the impact of movement impairments
