Certification

In order to receive your certification, you must have completed the Standards certification course through NeuroPro Education. This 16-day course is delivered across four separate sessions, each four days in length, and usually over a four-month period. The learning is continuous through practice intervals between sessions where the participant individually applies the content within their own work setting. On the final two days of the Standards course, participants will undergo certification testing and be evaluated to determine if they successfully meet all the standards in a competency-based framework to earn the distinction of certification.

After completing the Standards course, and successfully meeting all the certification testing criteria, you will earn the distinction of a Certified Neurorehabilitation Professional™ (NPC).

The registration fee for the full 16-day NeuroPro Education Standards certification course includes certification testing and the certification credentialing, if successful. For participants who may have chosen to pay only the 14-day registration fee without certification or testing, you may pay for the 2-day testing and certification separately after commencing the Standards course.

Anyone who has completed the Standards course, and elected to undergo testing, but was not successful will be offered an alternate route for certification. The details of this alternate process will be provided by the course instructor(s).

Earning the distinction of a Certified Neurorehabilitation Professional™ (NPC) adds prestigious credentials after your name. This certification identifies you as being trained to a higher standard and offering a level of expertise to your patients, peers, and employers. Once certified, you are eligible to register for the Specialties courses that NeuroPro Education offers to further advance your expertise in specific areas.

The certification period is two years in length. This is because NeuroPro Education is committed to maintaining all of our educational products to reflect the best knowledge in neurorehabilitation and professional education for adults. As new evidence and research continue to emerge, we will continue to innovate and inspire therapists to learn the latest knowledge, advance their skills, and ensure they are practicing at the leading edge as neurorehabilitation professionals. In order to support this, certification renewal for another two years requires attendance prior to certification expiry at one of the Specialties courses offered by NeuroPro Education.
